Faces of Glebe
"I have been at Glebe for about 2 yrs now. All my jewellery is hand-made and comes from a combination of found objects such as vintage lace, buttons with the feel of leather and felt. I focus on the hip an unusual, with wearables such as broaches, necklaces and
wrist-cuffs with a tongue-in-cheek design. I like the great
atmosphere and people at Glebe Markets." |

"I have been at Glebe for about 10 years. Glebe has a great mix of new and long term stallholders like me. I s'pose that's what gives it such a good vibe! Anyway, I've been making and selling recycled wooden plant holders and small
plants for a long time. Because I keep the
size small it suits many of the locals who
live in flats. I also sell handmade wooden
chopping board and jewellery I make
with my wife. I like Glebe for the
people and the atmosphere and
also because it is constantly
busy." |

The Glebe Character
Glebe Markets has been operating for more than 15 yrs, and, despite its reputation as a market destination it has always been a relaxed place where friends can meet and chat. Likewise, stallholders have found that Glebe has been a place to find identity as a community of similar/creative minds. In a sense Glebe acts as a mobile village in which each Saturday begins with a series of friendly reunions and ends with fond farewells.
