Faces of Glebe

Glebe Markets"I have been at Glebe for about 2 yrs now. All my jewellery is hand-made and comes from a combination of found objects such as vintage lace, buttons with the feel of leather and felt. I focus on the hip an unusual, with wearables such as broaches, necklaces and
wrist-cuffs with a tongue-in-cheek design. I like the great
atmosphere and people at Glebe Markets."

Glebe Markets"I have been at Glebe for about 10 years. Glebe has a great mix of new and long term stallholders like me. I s'pose that's what gives it such a good vibe! Anyway, I've been making and selling recycled wooden plant holders and small
plants for a long time. Because I keep the
size small it suits many of the locals who
live in flats. I also sell handmade wooden
chopping board and jewellery I make
with my wife. I like Glebe for the
people and the atmosphere and
also because it is constantly
busy."

The Glebe Character

Glebe Markets has been operating for more than 15 yrs, and, despite its reputation as a market destination it has always been a relaxed place where friends can meet and chat. Likewise, stallholders have found that Glebe has been a place to find identity as a community of similar/creative minds. In a sense Glebe acts as a mobile village in which each Saturday begins with a series of friendly reunions and ends with fond farewells.

Stallholders rally together for Judy

Welcome to Glebe Markets

As a testimony to the binding community and friendships that have been forged at Glebe Markets the stallholders have come together to wish Judy a swift recovery from her cancer. In an act of real kindness, stallholder and artist, Michelle Bentley created this beautiful picture incorporating many people’s well wishes from around the market. Judy would like to thank everyone for their care and concern.
